CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 1 CUP SHORTENING 1/2 CUP SUGAR 1 CUP BROWN SUGAR 1 t VANILLA 2 EGGS, WELL BEATEN 21/4 CUPS FLOUR 1 t BAKING SODA 1 t SALT 2 CUPS CHOCOLATE CHIPS CREAM TOGETHER SHORTENING AND SUGARS; ADD VANILLA AND EGGS. ADD DRY INGREDIENTS AND STIR WELL. ADD CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND FOLD THEM INTO MIXTURE. BAKE AT 375 DEGREES FOR 10 MINUTES OR UNTIL ALMOST DONE. TAKE OUT OF OVEN SO COOKIES WILL REMAIN SOFT AND CHEWY.
